Bespoke Experiences

Discover England your way.

Our goal is to provide you with the experience of England you've always dreamt of.

So, rather than simply providing a 'point-to-point' service that  just routes by all of the tourist traps, we aim to learn to provide something deeper and more profound.

We begin by learning as much as we can about you, your needs and interests,  and combine this with our extensive knowledge & passion for our region to build something truly remarkable, just for you.    You love gardens?  We'll build in a surprise intimate garden visit as part of your day.  You love history?  We'll build in stops at picturesque historic villages, churches or ruins, sharing their extraordinary stories with you.

Whatever you're looking to do, & whether you know if it is possible or not, simply share with us a little about you, your interests, your must-sees/must-dos are & what you want to get from your visit and we'll do the rest.

Collection & return from anywhere within the Bath region (though we offer multi-day, further-afield tours too).

Alternatively, explore our pre-planned itineraries & shared group Signature Experiences.

2In the footsteps of Jane Austen & Harry Potter

Having met in Bath at your hotel, we head directly for Lacock, preserved Medieval village and filming location for 1995's 'Pride & Prejudice' as well as many Harry Potter scenes and numerous other shows and films.

You'll discover the 15th century cloistures of the former Abbey before exploring the grand house, former home to Henry Fox-Talkbot, inventor of the negative photographic process.

We'll then explore the village, sharing fascinating history and filming locations before stopping for lunch at a classic country inn.

In the afternoon, we'll head into Cotswolds to encounter stunning scenery and picturesque settlements, before stopping for visit to Stonehenge, we head deep into the English countryside, away from the main roads and tourists to discover extraordinary landscapes, breath-taking vistas and the England that many imagine but few experience. We stop for lunch at a historic country inn serving exquisite food and drink before exploring a ruined medieval castle allowing the children to run free and imagine what life 800 years ago might have been like. We return to Bath in the afternoon, following relaxed refreshments in a beautiful rural location that consisted of conversation and an opportunity to reflect on the day’s experiences.
3Cotswolds Countryside, Cottages & Churches
Having made our acquaintances in Bath, we head along country roads to explore the Cotswolds stopping for coffee at an 800-year-old hotel in one of England’s most historically significant towns, yet now almost totally forgotten.

After exploring an ancient abbey, we visit an extraordinary English garden to enjoy the roses, water features and wild flowers at leisure, before heading deep into the undisturbed Cotswolds for lunch at a traditional, thatched country pub.

We begin to head back to Bath, stopping for a brief sojourn to walk through fields, alongside a winding brook, passing cattle, sheep and meadows along the way, stopping for afternoon refreshments in a stunning beauty spot before heading back into Bath for late afternoon.
4Medieval Marvels along the Welsh/English border country

Depart Bath for an adventure into the annals of time.

Explore the breath-taking Wye Valley - historic border between England and Wales and home to some of the country's most extraordinary medieval relics.

Visit the intimidating Chepstow Castle, perched on vertical cliffs overlooking the river and ancient town below.

Then, cling to the twisting valley road to visit the remarkable remains of Tintern Abbey, one of the greatest Abbeys in England but whose fate was sealed with Henry VIII's religious reformation.

Stop for lunch at a traditional country pub, nestled under the remains of a Norman fortress before journeying back via some extraordinary, hidden gardens.
