Escape London into Authentic England
Trade the city for stone circles, golden villages, and Georgian elegance. Fast trains. Maximise time. Local guides.
These aren't standard bus tours. You travel by train from London Paddington—comfortable, fast, and sustainable. Your expert local guide meets you at Bath Spa Station and takes care of everything from there.
From ancient Stonehenge to honey-stone Cotswolds villages to Georgian Bath, each experience is thoughtfully paced with a guide who genuinely loves this place—no scripts, no flags, no rushed photo stops.
The difference? Small, intimate groups (never more than 8 people), train-based sustainable travel, and more time exploring than sitting in traffic. You'll spend your day discovering authentic England, not watching it pass by from a bus window.
The result? A day that balances famous landmarks with quieter discoveries, and feels thoughtful, personal, and never rushed.

Megan B · Google Review"We came in by train from London and spent a couple hours exploring Bath and grabbed lunch before heading out. The meeting location and town is all walkable and everything is centrally located to the Bath Spa train station."

Still have questions? Get in touch and we'll help you plan the perfect day.
How far is Bath from London?
Bath is 115 miles west of London. Direct trains from London Paddington reach Bath Spa station in approximately 1 hour 15 minutes on Great Western Railway.
Are train tickets included in the price?
Yes. Return train tickets from London Paddington to Bath are included, and you select Standard or First Class for each guest during the booking process. The whole point is to maximise your time exploring, not spent on transport—the train gets you there in 1 hour 15 minutes, while picking you up from central London would add 2-3 hours stuck on motorways each way. Planning to arrive at a different station (such as Chippenham)? Get in touch, and we'll arrange it.
Is this a private tour or shared group?
This is a private experience for your group only. You won't be sharing with other guests—just your party and your dedicated guide for the day.
Where do we meet our guide?
Your guide will meet you at Bath Spa Train Station upon you arrive from London. They'll text or call you ahead of your tour, so please make sure to include a phone number you'll have access to while travelling. This is also when you can ask any further questions before your day begins.
What about lunch?
A lunch stop at a carefully selected pub or restaurant is built into the itinerary. Food and drinks are not included—you order and pay directly, giving you complete freedom to choose what you'd like.
How is this different from a coach tour?
Coach tours typically spend 2-3 hours on motorways with 40+ passengers. We use fast trains (1:15 to Bath), small groups (2-8 guests max), and expert local guides who genuinely love this place. You'll spend more time exploring, less time travelling, and actually remember your guide's name.
What's the best day trip from London to Bath?
Our most popular combination is Stonehenge & Cotswolds, which lets you see the ancient monument and explore quintessential English villages in one expertly guided day. But it really depends on your interests—we also offer Bath & Cotswolds, Jane Austen-themed tours, and filming location experiences.
If you prefer more independence, our Bath Walking Tour + Free Time option gives you a 2-hour guided walking tour when you arrive, then the rest of the day is yours to explore, shop, or relax at your own pace before catching your train back to London. Have something more specific in mind? Get in touch, and we'll help you plan it.
