An Enjoyable and Informative Tour of Bath! Today we had the pleasure of attending a walking tour of Bath with Justin of “In & Beyond Bath” tours. Justin is a wonderful and friendly tour guide who made us feel comfortable and at ease from the moment we met until the completion of the tour. He is very knowledgeable about all of the past and present history of Bath and its neighborhoods and architecture. He also customized the tour to our liking. Bridget M44 days agoJane Austen fan? Don’t miss this tour! We had a wonderful Jane Austen Walking Tour of Bath with Justin today. He was very knowledgeable and engaging and did a fantastic job of connecting the historical and cultural influences of the Georgian period with Jane Austen’s time living in Bath. We felt like we were walking in the footsteps of Jane Austen as we traversed the city of Bath, enjoyed the Georgian architecture, and learned so much about her time here. Highly recommend this tour! We had a walking tour of Bath recently with Toby and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Interesting fun facts and stories of Bath and the people in it over time. Toby is a wealth of information and was able to show us so much in one morning without me feeling like I was walked off my feet! I had no idea we had been walking for so long. I was even excited the next day when I discovered a name in Wells that connected to a story Toby had told us. I would definitely recommend booking with this group and ask for Toby. Jamie Sarra97 days agoI am so glad we found In and Beyond Bath. I searched for a walking tour that was authentic and not touristy and in and beyond was highly suggested. We did the Jane Austen walking tour and it was perfect! . Justin was our tour guide and he was fantastic! We felt immersed into all that is and was Bath. I personally never felt that we were on a touristy site seeing gig. My friends with me loved all the data Justin had and that we could ask all types of questions. We felt lucky that we had a small group and almost had a completely personalized private tour. Thanks Justin for your time, stories, information and wit.

Jie Xue309 days agoI am truly grateful that I booked two private family tours on consecutive days, one for the Bath city walk and another for Stonehenge and beyond. Our guides, Toby and Simon, provided an exceptionally rich and educational experience at both locations. During the Bath city walk, we learned about the deep history of the area, from the earliest inhabitants to the arrival of the Romans, and how the city evolved through the Regency period to the present day. Toby made the stories come alive, and we felt as if we were walking through the layers of history. For the Stonehenge tour, Simon guided us through the fascinating background of this UNESCO site, explaining how it was built, its cultural significance, and the beliefs of the early people who created it. He also took us to St. Andrew, which added even more depth to the experience. Both guides were kind, patient, and wonderful with our family, especially with my son and his many out of the box questions. Even my kids enjoyed every moment. Thanks to Toby and Simon, history felt alive, and these tours became unforgettable highlights of our trip. I highly recommend their service.Posted on Google
Nick Kirby324 days agoWe booked a two hour private History & Highlights tour through Simon at In and Beyond Bath. He was very helpful and ensured everything was organised in advance of our tour. Our tour guide was Maggie who was excellent as she gave a very interesting insight into life in Bath over hundreds of years. We were shown sights that any unaware person would walk past without knowing the important history behind them. Maggie had some wonderful stories to tell about famous people from Bath, which made the tour even more poignant. A first class experience!!Posted on Google

Kathleen K392 days agoWalking tour of Bath- Excellent My mother(very active 80 yr old) and I enjoyed a wonderful tour walking tour of Bath with Justin. We booked a 2 hour walking tour with emphasis on Jane Austen, but Justin was able to provide so much more than that. He provided a lovely walking tour of Bath with a tremendous amount of historical information about Bath, the links to Jane Austen and her family's time in Bath and very interesting fact and stories about the development of Bath. He was very patient and accommodated our walking pace and interests. We made several interesting stops along the way. We would absolutely recommend Justin and In and Beyond Bath tours for any of your interests. They are top notch, professional, extremely knowledge, friendly and a wonderful way to experience a new location. The communication from booking through meeting and the tour was perfect. Catherine F428 days agoFabulous Jane Austen walking tour of Bath We had a fantastic Jane Austen walking tour of Bath with Justin Millward. We know a bit about Jane Austen but has never visited her places in Bath, despite visiting there before. Justin is a mine of information about Jane and her family and we spent a very pleasant 2 hours walking around her parts of the city, including Sydney Place, Sydney Gardens and the Gravel Walk. The gorgeous apothecary that Jane's mother used is a gem and a must-see. Thanks to Justin for an engrossing walk and discussion of Jane's life and times in Bath. Our lovely guide Maggie brought the history of Bath alive as she showed us the key sights and told us stories of the people who built and lived there. Sandra M704 days agoDon’t Miss Avebury!!! We actually spent four days with Simon from In & Beyond Bath, starting with his picking us up at the airport in Bristol. What a great guy. He even stopped at a market so we could take provisions to our rental flat in Freshford. We did the.Avebury tour, along with the Stonehenge tour and a walking tour of Bath. Every time, Simon took us places we would never have discovered on our own, charming villages, and pubs off the beaten path that are frequent by locals, not tourist. The food was always fantastic. Simon was incredibly informative, helpful, and an all-around great guy. He patiently showed our 16-year-old all of the Harry Potter places, and was just as patient with the 70-year-old who loves Jane Austen. Normally, I’m fearless about renting a car, but I didn’t feel confident driving on the left side of the road. What a great decision that was!. We could never have gotten as much out of this trip as we did without Simon guiding us. He was awesome. We strongly recommend In & Beyond Bath. And Don’t miss Avebury!!!Posted on Tripadvisor
