Countryside rambling outside of Bath
“This was not the typical rigidly-structured tour. If you want a break from tourist traps and to spend time with a personable local, this may be for you. It was pricier than other tours I’ve taken, but I forgot about the cost entirely on the day. I was the only one on the tour, though it would also suit couples or singles traveling together. Jules drove into the Cotswolds on charming winding roads. We stopped at an unassuming home originally built as a castle, next to a gorgeous church and cemetery, and explored Tetbury for antiques and lunch (included). The arboretum walk, while early for peak autumn colors, was quiet, level, and perfect for nature photography. Jules frequently asked what I wanted to do, stopping when I wanted photos, and he ensured I enjoyed myself throughout the day. It felt like spending a day with a friend exploring the area, learning about history, and rambling through the countryside.” - 2021, trippygal23
