A gently paced, immersive walk through Bath’s historic streets, illuminated with twinkling lights and festive charm. Step away from the crowds to explore hidden courtyards, candlelit lanes, and graceful Georgian squares while hearing stories of Christmases past including Georgian feasts and Victorian traditions. Along the way you will experience a mixture of well-known highlights and seasonal surprises, all shared with warmth, wit and insight.

We’ll finish at a convenient central location, leaving you free to enjoy more of Bath’s festive delights — perhaps a warming mulled wine, hot chocolate, or further shopping at the market.

Please note: Our tours do not include entry to the Roman Baths. Only their own guides can lead tours inside. We recommend visiting afterwards so you can enjoy it fully, without having to rush.

 Verified Jane Austen fan? Don’t miss this tour!
We had a wonderful Jane Austen Walking Tour of Bath with Justin today. He was very knowledgeable and engaging and did a fantastic job of connecting the historical and cultural influences of the Georgian period with Jane Austen’s time living in Bath. We felt like we were walking in the footsteps of Jane Austen as we traversed the city of Bath, enjoyed the Georgian architecture, and learned so much about her time here. Highly recommend this tour! Loved it!

Interesting fun facts and stories of Bath and the people in it over time. Toby is a wealth of information and was able to show us so much in one morning without me feeling like I was walked off my feet! I had no idea we had been walking for so long. I was even excited the next day when I discovered a name in Wells that connected to a story Toby had told us.
I would definitely recommend booking with this group and ask for Toby.

I am so glad we found In and Beyond Bath. I searched for a walking tour that was authentic and not touristy and in and beyond was highly suggested.  We did the Jane Austen walking tour and it was perfect! . Justin was our tour guide and he was fantastic! We felt immersed into all that is and was Bath.
I personally never felt that we were on a touristy site seeing gig. My friends with me loved all the data Justin had and that we could ask all types of questions.
We felt lucky that we had a small group and almost had a completely personalized private tour.
